Poland's defence minister meets military top brass

Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak met with Polish Armed Forces top commanders on Friday, the defence ministry said. "I heard numerous ideas of further modernisation of the Polish Armed Forces. Ahead of us are new challenges. Today's meeting confirmed my conviction that the Polish Army has professional commanders," Blaszczak was quoted in a Ministry of Defence press release as saying. Blaszczak took over as Poland's defence minister on Tuesday replacing Antoni Macierewicz.
