Point of no return in Middle East conflict must be avoided - pres. aide

Krzysztof Szczerski, chairman of Tuesday's sessions of the UN Security Council devoted to the Middle East and head of the cabinet of the President of the Republic of Poland, warned that the failure of the Middle Eastern peace process could lead to a point of no return. In order to achieve a meaningful peace process, a respectful political climate of consensus needs to be restored, said Szczerski. "Failure to do so can lead to a point of no return. All parties must demonstrate a commitment to peace through their actions and policies," he added.
