Pelosi hails Hungary's '56 freedom fight

The Hungarian people's fight for freedom in 1956 created a stir throughout the world, Nancy Pelosi, the minority (Democrat) leader of the US House of Representatives, said in Budapest's House of Terror Museum on Monday. Pelosi, who paid a one-day visit to Budapest to mark the 90th anniversary of Hungarian-US diplomatic relations, recalled that she had prayed together with her mother for Cardinal Jozsef Mindszenty, who protested against Soviet oppression.
