Pellegrini sends condolences to Czech and Polish premiers over mine blast

December 21st, 2018

Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini sent letters of condolence on Friday to his Czech and Polish counterparts, Andrej Babis and Mateusz Morawiecky, respectively, in response to the explosion in a Czech coal mine. At least 13 miners - 11 Poles and two Czechs - were killed when methane exploded in a coal mine in Stonava near Karvina on Thursday. Around a dozen miners were injured in the blast.
