The finance and education ministries are preparing a special measure to significantly boost the salaries of beginner teachers from the next school year, Slovak Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini said in Parliament on Thursday. The state budget that is currently being drawn up will already take this measure into account, he told MPs during question time. Pellegrini pointed out that teachers have seen above-average hikes in salaries over the past years compared with salaries of state and public administration employees.
