Parliament's vote of a new Supreme Audit Office (NKU) chair will be secret, as indicated by a statement by Pavol Chovanec, spokesman for Parliamentary Chairman Pavol Paska (Smer-SD). "The secret-ballot vote is a legal concept of an MP's freedom of expression, and the NKU chairman vote will be no exception to this," Chovanec said. The vote is scheduled for May 28. Whether or not the candidate is finally elected to the post depends on Smer-SD, as the Opposition as such doesn't have enough votes.
