Parbeszed calls on govt to cancel 'illegitimate' Paks deal

The Hungary-Russia agreement concerning an upgrade of the Paks nuclear plant is against regulations effective at the time of its signing in 2014, Benedek Javor, MEP of opposition Parbeszed, told a press conference on Tuesday, calling on the government to terminate the contested contract. Javor noted that under a court ruling in February, the company in charge of the Paks upgrade was obliged to publish the contracts governing the upgrade project.
