Speaking in Warsaw on Friday after a meeting with his Polish counterpart Beata Szydlo, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said: "We don't want to be an immigrant country and we have every right not to be." Orban said at a joint press conference held with Szydlo: "We accept the decision of immigrant countries that they want to be immigrant countries. We ask them to accept that we don't want to be one." Orban said Hungary was searching for different solutions to demographic and labour-market problems and rejected immigration as a solution.
