The tax audit and police investigation into President Andrej Kiska's company came on the back of efforts to discredit the head of state, several Opposition MPs said. "Clearly, this is a discreditation attempt," said 'We Are Family' legislator Milan Krajniak. Parliamentary Vice-chair Lucia Duris Nicholsonova (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS) said state authorities are being used to discredit and extort politicians in order to accommodate the interests of financial and political powers.
