One Slovak MEP to take up seat later If Brexit postponed

An amendment approved by Slovakia's government on Wednesday says that if the United Kingdom remains a member of the EU at the beginning of the 2019-2024 electoral term, one of the Slovak MEPs will not take up his or her mandate until Brexit happens. The amendment proposal is set to go before parliament in a fast-track legislative procedure. Slovakia is supposed to get one of Britain's seats after it leaves the bloc.
