One in three unemployed without work for at least two years in Slovakia

Almost one in three jobless Slovaks, or more than 125,700 people, have been unemployed for at least two years, the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre said on Monday. The highest number of long-time unemployed can be found in Presov region, but high figures were also reported in Kosice and Banska Bystrica regions. Each region had around 28,000 people registered as being jobless for over 24 months. Conversely, Bratislava region is facing the least problems with long-term unemployment.
