Number of personal bankruptcies skyrocketing in Slovakia

Recent months have brought a record-high number of personal bankruptcies in Slovakia, with 2,390 persons declaring personal bankruptcy by the end of August, which is 284 more than the figure reported for the whole of 2016, according to the latest analysis published by consulting company Bisnode on Thursday. The number of personal bankruptcies in Slovakia is at a record-high. While 582 people declared personal bankruptcy in 2014, it was 692 a year later and the figure climbed by almost 200 to stand at 841 in 2016.
