The Slovak government, employers and employee unions on Monday failed to reach an agreement on supplemental pension savings, Labour Minister Jan Richter announced after a meeting of the Economic and Social Council. "We have not agreed because the impact of the bill prepared by the labour ministry on the state budget is about 8 million euros. The requirements of the social partners, especially those put forward by the trade unions, exceeded 50 million euros. We are not ready for this from the point of view of the state budget, and that is why it is impossible to discuss it at the moment," said the minister.
