Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin said on Friday that Poland will not impose a general lockdown again despite rising coronavirus infection numbers in the country. "There is no way to return to a nationwide lockdown" or to closing the economy, as was the case a few months ago," he told public broadcaster TVP Info. Also on Friday, Poland's health ministry reported 809 new COVID-19 cases, the sixth record daily rise in two weeks, including 259 infected people in the Silesia coal mining region in southern Poland.
