NATO should focus on fighting terrorism and allied troops should not withdraw from Afghanistan so that the country does not turn into a terrorist base again, President Milos Zeman said at a Czech military command meeting today. "International terrorism is the main if not the only enemy of the civilised countries," Zeman said. He rejected the proposals for the withdrawal of the allied forces from Afghanistan. He said he would repeat this stance at the NATO summit in London in December where he will represent the country. The withdrawal would devalue the casualties of allied soldiers, including Czechs, he said.
