The removal of organs from foreigners who die in the Czech Republic would be easier since their close person's consent to it would suffice under an amendment to the transplant law that the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of Czech parliament, passed today. The MPS approved the bill in an accelerated procedure in the first reading already. Now, the Senate will assess it. At present, the Czech authorities must ask the foreign country for information whether its citizen who died in Czechia expressed consent to the postmortem removal of organs for transplants.
