Fifty-one percent of Poles claim the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party having a majority in the Sejm (lower house), but not in the Senate (upper house), is good for Poland, while the opposite view is held by 29 percent of respondents to a CBOS poll. CBOS also asked people whether it would be better for the country if the incumbent President Andrzej Duda won the presidential elections, planned on 2020, or the winner represented the opposition. Fifty-six percent of respondents supported Duda, while 31 percent believed it would be better if the opposition's candidate won the elections.
