Over 100 million European citizens are involved in various forms of volunteering, according to data presented on Friday at a press conference organised during a plenary meeting of the Council of the Bishops' Conferences of Europe (CCEE), in Poznań, west-central Poland. The main topics of the plenary, which has been ongoing since Thursday, are solidarity and volunteering. The results of the survey on volunteer work in Europe were presented by Fr. Wojciech Sadłoń, from the Institute for Catholic Church Statistics.
