Speaking on RTVS's television special 'The Second Wave' on Monday evening, Slovak Prime Minister Igor Matovic admitted that harsher anti-virus measures could come into play if the coronavirus outbreak in the country starts getting worse. The premier at the same time noted that his aim was to reduce the number of patients and victims to a minimum, adding that his hope was that the numbers of infected people would start to drop as of next week. He called on the public to band together and fight the virus side by side. Mativic said the measures that were implemented last week could bring improved results within two weeks, although he went on to admit that he has been losing sleep over the situation.
