Slovak Agriculture Minister Gabriela Matecna has cautioned the public against panicking over the country's food supply. In a social media post in connection with special measures linked to the spread of coronavirus in the country, Matecna called on people to adhere to hygiene rules and to wear face masks. "The Agriculture Ministry is closely communicating with farmers, food producers and retail chains," she said. "Based on information that we've been receiving via their representatives on a continuous basis, there's enough food, and so there's no reason to panic or to create excessive supplies of foodstuffs and raw materials for their production. There's enough food in warehouses and in retail stores."
