Many disregard fireworks ban in High Tatras

Despite a ban on using pyrotechnics in the whole territory of the Tatra National Park (TANAP), a lot of people were firing firecrackers and fireworks at New Year, TANAP director Pavol Majko reported. Most fireworks were in the vicinity of the largest Tatra settlements. The TANAP director said he was disappointed by the attitude of people, although he added that it is improving every year and there are fewer and fewer violations.
