Imre Kozma, the founder and leader of Hungary's Maltese Charity, received a high state award for his lifetime achievements on Wednesday, on the occasion of his 80th birthday. The Hungarian Order of Merit, Middle Cross with the Star, was awarded by President Janos Ader, at the initiative of Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjen. Kozma, a Roman Catholic priest, received the honour in recognition of his over 50 years of religious service, and his dedicated and exemplary work in improving the physical and mental health, and social conditions of the needy.
