Deputy PM Piotr Glinski on Monday said Poland is looking with due care after sites of extermination left behind by German tormentors. Glinski took part in ceremonies marking the July 22-falling 75th anniversary of the liberation of the WW II Nazi-German death camp Majdanek, outside the south-eastern city of Lublin. The deputy PM recalled that a museum devoted to the former extermination camp was opened in Majdanek as early as November 1944. It is the oldest commemoration site linked to WWII in Europe. "It must be strongly emphasised that Poland is looking with due care after places of extermination left behind on Polish soil by German tormentors. We also remember the victims of these places and we also remember the perpetrators," said Glinski.
