Slovak constitutional committee chairman Robert Madej believes that judges of the Constitutional Court should be elected in a secret ballot, as he views it as the most democratic method. "With regards to [Parliament's] Rules of Procedure, the first round should be carried out secretly, based on a proposal by MPs, if a secret ballot is passed," Madej told TASR. Madej gave the example of "[former prime minister Iveta] Radicova's code", when SaS party leader Richard Sulik said there was a waterproof system for controlling MPs even in the case of a secret ballot. "This attests to the fact that some people want to put pressure on MPs, hiding it behind transparency," he said.
