The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust has unveiled a plaque commemorating Poles who saved Jews during the second world war under a tree dedicated to Poles at the museum's Pan Pacific Park. The Deputy Consul in Los Angeles Pawel Lickiewicz told PAP that the museum refers to the tradition of the Yad Vashem Institute, where trees are planted in the Righteous Among the Nations Garden in Jerusalem to commemorate those who saved Jews during the war. Each tree is dedicated to particular nations where people risked their lives to save Jews during WWII.
