Late Gdansk mayor to be laid to rest at St Mary's Basilica

A funeral mass for the late Gdansk mayor will take place in the city's St Mary's Basilica, where Pawel Adamowicz will be laid to rest. His funeral is being organised by the city of Gdansk with the participation of the Adamowicz family. The casket with the body of Adamowicz will lie in state for 24 hours at the European Solidarity Centre as of 5:00 p.m. Thursday in order to make it possible for all Gdansk residents, who want to, to bid farewell to the late mayor, the Gdansk deputy mayor, Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, told a press conference on Wednesday.
