Lajcak meets former, current and future presidents of UN General Assemblies

Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak on Wednesday held talks with president of the 73th UN General Assembly Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces, president-elect of the upcoming 74th UN General Assembly Tijjani Muhammad-Bande and former presidents Joseph Deiss (65th UN GA) and Peter Thomson (71st UN GA), the foreign ministry has said. The talks focused primarily on sharing gained experience and bolstering the role of the General Assembly as the cornerstone of multilateralism. The main objective of the meeting was to pass on experience to Muhammad-Bande and to help him in his preparations for the upcoming assembly.
