International institutions, including the United Nations, should experience a renaissance of multilateralism and get closer to people, Foreign Minister and President of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly Miroslav Lajcak said in his speech at the 13th GLOBSEC 2018 international security forum under way in Bratislava between May 17-19. "The gap between institutions and people is getting bigger, and we must patch it, and quickly. Bubbles have been created around international institutions, and they need to burst," said Lajcak.
