Most-Hid MP Peter Kresak has proposed that former presidents who become MPs or public officials should temporarily lose the benefits they are entitled to after their presidential term is over. Kresak on Monday pointed out the case of former president Andrej Kiska, who set up a political party and even said that he is motivated to become the prime minister. He also mentioned the current president, Zuzana Caputova. "In 2014 and 2019 two young persons were elected presidents by the Slovak public. There is a presumption in their cases that once they leave this post they'll be interested in engaging in active politics and vie for other public positions," he wrote on Facebook.
