Slovak President Andrej Kiska on Monday held a discussion with Slovaks living and working in Brussels as part of a project called "From the Tatras to Schuman". Slovakia's pro-European orientation and anchoring the values of Slovaks were high on the agenda of the discussion. The president in his opening speech recalled the main foreign-political priorities of his five-year term in office, which have been keeping Slovakia anchored in the European Union and NATO. Kiska identified the toughest period of his tenure as the situation following the murders of journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiance Martina Kusnirova last year, with the most wonderful moment being his meeting with Pope Francis.
