KDH won't field own presidential candidate

The extra-parliamentary Christian Democrats (KDH) will not field their own presidential candidate, KDH leader Alojz Hlina has confirmed to TASR, adding that the party will support one of the candidates who have submitted their candidacy so far. The KDH Council will decide which candidate the party will support at its meeting due to take place on February 16. KDH still follows its resolution that it will support the opposition-backed candidate with the highest chance of succeeding. "Presidential debates that are a celebration of democracy will play a big role here, too," said Hlina.
