Czech cinematographer Vladimir Smutny, 76, who worked on the Oscar-winning film Kolya, will be awarded at the 54th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival to be held in this West Bohemian spa town on June 28-July 6, its president Jiri Bartoska told reporters today. Smutny, a holder of seven Czech Lion film awards, will receive the festival president's prize in Karlovy Vary. The event will screen a film of his choice. Czech actress Jirina Bohdalova will feature in the festival's trailer this year.
