Judicial employees in Slovakia called off their strike alert in response to the fact that their salaries rose by 14 percent, the Justice Ministry said on Tuesday. "I'm glad that it was under my administration that the ministry managed to make this systemic move, seeing as it's the highest hike in judicial employee salaries in recent years," Justice Minister Gabor Gal said. "Theirs is an extremely responsible and often complex job, which is why society should offer adequate remuneration to these employees." Slovak justice labour union head Ingrid Vrkocova voiced hope that the cooperation with the ministry will continue.
