Jobbik seeks explanation for Hungary's admission of 1,300 refugees

January 12th, 2018

Jobbik demands answers regarding Hungary's admission of 1,300 migrants, Peter Jakab, the radical nationalist party's spokesman, told a press conference on Friday. Jakab reacted to an interview foreign ministry deputy state secretary Kristof Altusz had given to the Times of Malta in which he said that Hungary gave refugee status to 1,300 people last year. Altusz said the government had chosen not to report this in the interest of the safety of the refugees.
