October 12th, 2017

Industrial production showed an annual decline of 0.4 percent in August 2017, influenced primarily by a contraction of 7.2 percent in mining and quarrying and 0.6 percent in industrial manufacturing, the Statistics Office announced on Thursday. Meanwhile, a growth of 1.9 percent was recorded in supplies of electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning components. After seasonal adjustments, industrial production increased by 2.4 percent month-on-month in August.
