Hungary retail sales growth accelerates to 5.6 pc in Sept

Retail sales in Hungary climbed by 5.6 percent in September from the same month a year earlier, accelerating from 4.7 percent in August, a second reading of data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Thursday shows. Calendar-adjusted data show retail sales were up by an annual 6.2 percent in September. Both the unadjusted and adjusted figures for September were revised upwards from 5.4 percent and 6.0 percent, respectively, in the first reading published on November 7.
