If US financier George Soros cannot prove his Hungarian citizenship, theoretically he could be prevented from entering the country, Fidesz group leader Gergely Gulyas told a press conference on Thursday. According to the government's "Stop Soros" draft package, published in full on Thursday, the Hungarian state has the "primary obligation and right to protect its citizens and national culture". Any activity promoting illegal migration or increasing "the migration pressure" is against the interests of the Hungarian state and involve "measurable damages to the central budget". The package is aimed at identifying "organisations that promote migration" and taking action against "people who constitute a national security risk".
