March 16th, 2018
Gergely Karacsony, the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition Socialist-Parbeszed election alliance, is defending US billionaire George Soros, whom "Hungarians want to send back to the US together with his sham NGO servants", ruling Fidesz's parliamentary group leader said on Friday. Gergely Gulyas responded to Karacsony's comments earlier in the day accusing Prime Minister Viktor Orban of "crossing another line" by "threatening the advocates of change" with political and legal sanctions in his March 15 speech. Gulyas told a press conference that he understood Karacsony's "outrage" over Orban's remarks on Soros as someone's who "is surrounded by Soros's people" and "represents Soros's interests".
