Slovakia has a good chance of winning the race for the headquarters of the European Labour Agency (ELA), the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Ministry said in a document on the state of preparations that was acknowledged by the cabinet at its regular session on Wednesday. Talks held by Labour Minister Jan Richter at the bilateral level reportedly indicate high support for Slovakia, as does information provided by Slovakia's diplomatic missions at the EU. A survey on support for Slovakia's candidacy among EU member states showed that Slovakia is perceived as a strong candidate among member states, favoured by partners from the Visegrad Group and other countries such as Luxembourg and Estonia.
