Government ready to continue talks with protesting teachers

The Polish government is determined to continue talks with protesting teachers and meet them "half way," cabinet spokesperson Joanna Kopcinska said on Tuesday. The Polish Teachers' Union (ZNP) and Solidarity teachers' demand a pay rise of 1,000 zlotys a month, but also more career openings for teachers and changes in performance assessment criteria.
