Freedom March in defence of democracy on May 12

Poland's main opposition party Civic Platform (PO) is organising a Freedom March in Warsaw on May 12 in defence of the constitutional democratic order and 'Poland's continued presence in the EU". The decision to organise the 3rd Freedom March in Warsaw was made at a PO meeting on Thursday. According to PO's spokesperson Jan Grabiec, the aim of the march is to protect democracy. He said the Polish government refused to change its approach and it intended to take over the judiciary. The march will set off from Rondo de Gaulle'a and continue along Nowy Swiat, Krakowskie Przedmiescie before culminating at Plac Zamkowy (Castle Square).
