Foreign citizens denied a Schengen visa by the Polish state will be entitled to appeal to the Provincial Administrative Court in Warsaw (WSA) to have the decision examined under an amendment to the law on administrative court procedures passed by parliament on Friday. The amendment was passed with 403 votes in favour and none against, with one abstention. The act will now progress to the Senate. Under the new rules, foreign citizens denied a Schengen visa can file a motion to the WSA through the consul to have the decision examined. In the opinion of the government, which filed the draft amendment in the Sejm, the measure ensures uniform practice in rulings on visa matters.
