Ford opens new service centre in Hungary

US carmaker Ford has opened a regional service centre in Budapest on Friday. The new Budapest SSC is Ford's biggest European administrative centre, Peter Szijjarto, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, said at the opening. In addition to several pricing and production planning functions serving all European markets, the centre will provide HR services to Ford units in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, he added. By the end of next year, Ford will have 700 employees in Hungary, mainly highly-qualified young professionals speaking foreign languages, the minister said.
