Fico won't run as top court candidate, Smer-SD insists on secret vote

Head of Smer-SD Robert Fico has announced at a press conference that he won't run as a candidate for the Constitutional Court in the next election of candidates. Even if it were by secret ballot, he doesn't want to raise suspicions that he wants to influence something. Fico said that Smer-SD is willing to elect candidates, however, the party insists that the vote be by secret ballot. According to Fico, all members of the Smer-SD leadership including Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini want the vote to be by secret ballot.
