The Family 500 Plus welfare benefit programme will get 41.2 billion zlotys (EUR 9.4bn) in the 2020 budget, the Finance Ministry announced on Twitter on Wednesday. The ministry reported that this total was nearly 9 billion zlotys more than in 2019. In addition, the ministry noted that the assumed real GDP growth in 2020 will be 3.7 percent. According to the draft budget for 2020 adopted by the government on Tuesday, revenues and expenditures are to amount to 429.5 billion zlotys, which means that the state coffers will not encounter a deficit next year.
