The European Union should tell China more openly what it considers problematic in mutual relations, Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek (Social Democrats, CSSD) told the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday. In a debate on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on international relations, Petricek said more people in the EU and the Czech Republic started seeing China not as a cooperating partner but as a competitor and, to a high extent, rival.
