The European Parliament's legal affairs committee "has established no conflict of interest" in connection with the European commissioner nominees of France, Hungary, and Romania, MEP Jozsef Szajer (ruling Fidesz) said on Tuesday. Szajer said that Hungary's Oliver Varhelyi was unanimously supported by the body. Varhelyi, Thierry Breton of France and Adina Valean of Romania will be interviewed by committees overseeing their respective portfolios on Thursday.
