The majority of Slovak political parties running in the upcoming elections for the European Parliament aren't prioritising the protection of nature and the climate in their election programmes, environmental organisations SOS/BirdLife and WWF Slovakia have pointed out. The organisations based their claim on a survey sent to candidates as well as the published programmes. They assessed three areas: shrinking biodiversity, agricultural policies and climate change. According to the analysis, the first area was stated as a personal priority of all candidates who filled in this section of the survey.
