Polish President Andrzej Duda has signed the ratification of a June agreement with the United States under which the two countries are to intensify cooperation in preventing and combating serious crime, the president's office said on Tuesday. On June 12, an agreement on preventing and combatting serious crime was signed by Deputy Interior Minister Krzysztof Kozlowski and Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security David P. Pekoske. According to the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration, the agreement will contribute to strengthening cooperation through intensive exchange of information and experience between the services of both countries. It is one of the conditions for including Poland in the programme of visa-free travel to the US, the Visa Waiver Program.
