Doprava registered as new Slovak political party

Slovakia's Interior Ministry has registered a new political party called Doprava (meaning both 'transport' and 'to the right' in Slovak), founded by former SDKU-DS politicians. The inaugural party congress is slated for February 9 and Doprava intends to run in May's European parliamentary elections. "Today, the DOPRAVA political party was recorded in the register of political parties, a moment which presents the capstone of its creation. Its leadership will be elected at the inaugural congress, slated for Saturday, February 9. We will vie for the trust of the people for the first time in May 2019's European parliamentary elections," said founder Ondrej Matej.
